CALM Down Those Loud, Annoying TV Commercials!

Senate CALM bill would require the FCC to prohibit loud commercials. But why wait?
Have you ever experienced this? You are lounging in your sofa in front of the TV on a lazy Saturday afternoon about to peacefully doze off, when you are suddenly jolted from your bliss by some guy screaming about how the mop he is selling will change your life forever.
If so, you may be interested to learn that our politicians care and want to do something to put a stop to those irritatingly loud commercials. The U.S. senate passed a bill (S. 2847) last month that would ban the practice of running ads at a higher volume than the TV shows they disrupt.
And someone on Capitol Hill was clever enough to come up with a fun name for this bit of legistlation. It's called the CALM Act (Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation). President Obama is expected to sign CALM into law and mandate that the government workers get busy addressing the issue over the next few years.
If you are not excited by the idea of waiting around for the government to enhance your your TV viewing experience, fret not. You have other options and we at simpleHome can help right now.
simpleHome has solutions that allow listeners to control the dynamic volume range of a program – that means no matter the environment or material, you always hear everything at an enjoyable level. Dynamic Volume anticipates level changes and ensures it will never swing too far from your desired volume. The result? Now you can set the volume once, sit back, stay CALM, and enjoy.
