Game Changer: Lutron Battery Powered Shades!

A comment that we often hear from people who have motorized, automated shades is, "I don't know how I ever lived without them!" Unfortunately, motorized shades have traditionally been an expensive luxury. In addition, they have been difficult to integrate into retrofit projects due to the extensive wiring requirements.

According to David Weinstein, VP of residential sales for Lutron, "Up until now, battery-powered shades have not delivered consistent and reliable battery life. In addition, most of the existing battery-powered technology is neither quiet, precise, or affordable."

The new shades utilize Lutron's patent-pending Triathalon Power Technology and are powered by four to six D batteries, which can last two to five years. Traditional motorized shades can consume a great amount of energy, since there is a need to power both the motor and the control of the shades. Lutron's new battery technology solves the problem and will make it much easier and economical for more homeowners to benefit from the advantages of motorized shades.

Of course, there is no need to limit yourself to cellular shades. Homeowners in Boston and Main Line Philadelphia have been enjoying the benefits of Lutron shades for years. To learn more about these products, call simpleHome or visit Lutron shades.

I am so excited about these shades. I've always wanted auto shades but didn't want to invest in the money or mess to have the wiring done. These are perfect.

I had automated shades in an apartment I rented and they were great. I've been trying to talk my wife into them but she was the voice of reason and didn't want to deal with the wiring expense. I definately want to check these out, simple enough to try now.
